NOBODY LEAVES ‘TIL JESUS COMES, starring Alex Felix, Spencer Garrett, Joanna Going, Garrett Coffey, Marla Robison, and Max E. Williams, shot by John Nodorft, edited by Nina Kawasaki, with music by Lili Haydn, began its festival run at DANCES WITH FILMS to a 250-person house at the famous Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, California. then premiered in Africa at the JOBURG FILM FESTIVAL in South Africa.

ZANA: Book One, an Afro-Futuristic graphic novel created for Emet Comics in collaboration with artists Joey Granger and Luciana Maruca, Letterer Tom Orzechowski, editor Maytal Schulmann, and Associate Editor and Nguni Languages Expert Zukiswa Pakama, is now available on Amazon.

ABOUT ME
I write and direct narrative films, ads, and music videos. I’ve won awards from the DGA, MiSciFi, and the LA Guild of Puppetry, and been nominated for many others.
I’m South African and Afro-Positive.
I’m busy with various writing projects, including a South African thriller, a YA fantasy feature, and a TV pilot.
Before the pandemic hit, I directed an Amazon Prime webseries pilot called VERIFIED and some music videos, including for Vietnamese-American pop star Anh Minh and two zero-budget video for alternative rockers Love Like Suicide.
As a Chapman alumnus, I have taken courses in everything from editing to sound design to acting and composition, and worked across multiple departments. I have art-directed, boom-opped, produced, cam-operated, and edited on low budget or student shoots, music videos, and documentaries, and I own some basic sound and lighting equipment in addition to a Blackmagic Pocket Pro 4k and a few lenses. I have extensive experience teaching immersive summer camps and film courses for middle-schoolers and teenagers.
